Chantal Shearing


Chantal's 22 year career at Jaguar Land Rover began in 1998 when she joined Jaguar Cars as an engineer in Body Interior Trim, followed by five years in Electrical Engineering. She has had various roles within the JLR Corporate Strategy function primarily as the New Business Ventures & Alliances Manager and was a key member of the team formed to investigate and set up the eMobility concepts and functions within JLR.

Prior to Steer, Chantal was responsible for leading the global off car electrification and charging strategy from concept through to customer offering, developing the future strategy and delivery to the markets. Chantal has led procurements and contracts for EV infrastructure deployment for both customer offerings and internal workplace charging strategies. As the public charging infrastructure manager, she was responsible for creating and delivering the global strategy for new electric vehicles within JLR.

Chantal has a MSc in Automotive & Automotive Component Manufacture from Coventry University and a BSc Hons in Engineering Product Design from The University of Central England.

At Steer, Chantal will work within the New Mobility team as lead for the EV infrastructure activities. In this role she will utilise her experience in both Automotive and EV infrastructure deployment to advise and support both public and private clients in their electrification activities.
