Lisa Martin re-joins the Steer team as Director and joint UK Head of Planning

Lisa MartinSteer is delighted to welcome back and announce the appointment of Lisa Martin as a Director and joint Head of Steer’s Planning division* in our London office.

Lisa has a broad transport planning pedigree with particular expertise in delivering sustainable mobility through designing and implementing travel behaviour change programmes that involve education, incentive, and infrastructure interventions.

After establishing and leading Steer’s Planning division in the United States, Lisa returned to the UK to take up a position at Heathrow Airport where she led the Surface Access Strategy team. Her team was responsible for the development and delivery of a strategy to increase the number of passengers arriving/leaving at the airport by public transport and reducing the number of airport employees driving alone.

Over the last 25 years, she has advised local, regional and central government in the UK, Australia and the USA, as well as private sector clients across a broad spectrum of behaviour change studies. She has a track record in successfully delivering sustained levels of modal shift away from the car.

At Steer, Lisa and Hannah Thomas will jointly lead our experienced team to deliver pragmatic solutions that best meet our client’s specific needs, while helping people, places and economies thrive.

I am delighted to welcome Lisa back to Steer. With her pedigree in designing and delivering behaviour change programmes across the globe, she will bring additional capability, insight and expertise to sustainable policies, strategies and interventions for our clients. Mike Goggin, UK MD
