Simon joined Steer after helping to deliver the London 2012 Olympics, where he was responsible for delivering the transport operations for five key venues as well as ensuring full coordination of works between Transport for London and LOCOG for the Olympic Route Network, the Road Events and the individual venue transport operation plans. Simon was lead transport advisor to the Rugby World Cup in 2015 and held an operational role in charge of Twickenham Stadium transport for each match day. He worked alongside UEFA and the Welsh FA at the Champions League Final 2017 in Cardiff, designing the transport overlay as well as the security/ ticket check operation.
At Steer, Simon is the global market lead for sports and major events and offers support to clients requiring operational and design advice for pedestrian and spectator movement, transport operation planning and stadium and events management.
