I joined Steer’s graduate scheme in June 2021, just as the world was emerging from COVID-19, and was quickly entrusted with significant responsibility across a variety of exciting projects. Within my first year, I project-managed Steer’s role as mobility consultant for the UEFA Women’s EURO 2022, overseeing mobility planning for 31 matches across ten venues.
Since then, I’ve continued to grow in project management, managing a portfolio of projects for the UK Parliament and overseeing Steer’s delivery of the mobility strategy for the 2024 UEFA Champions League Final. This role involved coordinating all mobility workstreams and liaising with key delivery partners, including UEFA, the FA, and the GLA, to ensure a seamless spectator journey to and from all activations in and around London for every possible finalist scenario.
The graduate scheme provided me with early exposure to clients and stakeholders, enabling me to develop a passion for stakeholder management. This has been the focus of most of my professional development, taking on my own clients and growing a pipeline of work. I’ve had some amazing opportunities along the way, including a trip to Istanbul for the 2023 Champions League Final. But beyond the exciting projects and travel, it’s the people at Steer who have had the greatest impact on my journey. I’ve made lifelong friends within my Steer team but also on the client side. Now, over three years into my career at Steer, I look forward to working alongside great people on fun projects.
