Steer Davies Gleave is pleased to welcome its most recent senior recruit, Adrian Lord MSc CMILT MCIHT. He is a leading cycling expert and joins us as an Associate.
Adrian joins Steer Davies Gleave from Arup. He is a specialist in designing cycling infrastructure and has been heavily involved in advising the Department for Transport develop future changes to regulations and design practice that will enable more use of Dutch-style infrastructure in the UK.
In his role as an infrastructure advisor to British Cycling, he worked with Olympian gold medallists Sir Chris Hoy and Chris Boardman in reviewing the risks faced every day by Team GB cyclists and staff based at the National Cycling Centre and how the dangers could be designed-out.
Lisa Buchanan, Head of Planning at Steer Davies Gleave said, “Adrian joins at an exciting time for SDG’s cycling team which recently saw its Kingston-upon-Thames cycle network design shortlisted for the Major of London’s funding. Our cycling team is busier than ever with cycling projects in the UK, USA, Russia, Mexico, Colombia and Chile and they will benefit hugely from the expertise that Adrian brings.”
