Steer Davies Gleave is pleased to welcome its most recent senior recruit, Stefan Reul, Dipl. Ing., Associate, who joins our Boston office. Stefan is an experienced transportation planner and project manager and joins from CDM Smith. His experience includes a mix of transit and rail planning as well as toll road projects and managed lanes.
As a travel demand modeler, technical advisor and senior project manager, Stefan’s portfolio of toll road and managed lane projects include the 95Express managed lanes in Miami, traffic and revenue studies for the 40-plus mile I-405 / SR 167 Express Toll Lane corridor in Washington State, the Grand Parkway SH 99 project in Houston as well as numerous traffic and revenue studies for public sector clients.
Stefan has also played major roles in a variety of transit, light and heavy rail feasibility and transit planning projects in Germany and the USA. High profile projects that he has been involved in, and which have shaped the way he approaches transit and rail planning projects, include the New Haven – Hartford – Springfield Rail Project in Connecticut, Stuttgart 21 in Stuttgart (Germany), the conversion of the Leipzig (Germany) street car system into a LRT system and the extension and re-organization of the rapid transit lines in Nuremberg (Germany).
Stefan looks forward to utilizing his experience from both transit and road planning and demand forecasting projects and applying them in a fashion that provides an optimal overall solution that considers all modes of transportation: “I see the opportunity to help clients shape the future, developing transportation and urban development concepts as well as transportation infrastructure that are sustainable in the long run.
