Steer Davies Gleave have been appointed by the Puerto Rico Public-Private Partnership Authority (P3A) as one of a number of advisors for the San Juan-Caguas rail project.
Steer Davies Gleave will be providing advisory services and the preparation of the revenue and ridership studies for the new route which links the capital city of San Juan to Caguas.
Yilia Baucage-Bou, Steer Davies Gleave’s Puerto Rico Office Leader said, 'We are thrilled to be able to support the PR P3 Authority in the first transit system concession for the Island. We are pleased to be able to share our international expertise together with our extensive local knowledge garnered through the last 18 years working in Puerto Rico, to benefit this important mobility project.'
The project will now continue to the technical and financial due diligence stage, including outreach with the surrounding communities and potential proponents, an environmental evaluation and a review of technology options.
