Steer signs the UK rail industry’s new ‘Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Charter’

Charter signed logo

Steer is proud to be one of the first organisations to have signed the Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Charter, which has been launched today. The Railway Industry Association (RIA) and Women in Rail (WR) have launched the Charter to champion equality, diversity and inclusion in the UK rail industry and as a commitment to build a more balanced higher-performing sector.

The Charter is open to all companies, clients and organisations working in the UK railway industry who wish to play a role in promoting positive change in the sector. It seeks to recognise and build upon the progress which has already taken place, providing the basis to encourage further collaboration and action across the sector.

As a signatory, Steer is recognising its role in championing an inclusive culture and our commitment to providing equality of opportunity and reward for all our employees. Our role in helping people, places and economies thrive means that we take our social and cultural responsibilities seriously. Being more representative means, we are better able to serve our clients and the communities in which we operate, bringing a wider range of experiences and views to our work.
